Islamic world publishes should utilize the virtual world capacities
Faculty member of Tehran University said in the First International Conference of Islamic World Publishers: The Islamic world publishers should take advantage of the virtual world capacities intellectually, because this atmosphere has numerous capabilities.
During his lecture, titled as "The electronic text and the Islamic world publication capacities", Hojjatoleslam Saeidreza Ameli said: We have recently conducted a research in which 15 thousand western academic books published amongst the years 1949 to 2009 were investigated. The research demonstrated that only 2 percent of the works were without orientations and the others were somehow based on some orientations.
He continued: The productions in the western world have been influenced by the fear from Islam after September 11th. Approaches of the western works to Islam have been based on the western values.
Addressing the President, Ameli added: in the first colonialism period, the westerns started to capture the countries of the world, in the second colonialism period, the cultural colonialism was raised and it was endeavored to invade the cultures of various countries; today we are confronted with the virtual colonialism. The Second Word is invaded by the colonists. Today, the top 10 sites of the world are in California. Observing the fundamental circumstances, we can realize that how dangerous is the atmosphere specifically established for a government, and we should utilize the virtual space for publication, because this kind of publication industry has numerous capabilities.
Regarding the capabilities of the virtual space publication, Ameli stated: Its digital feature is the first Advantage. In the virtual world, book is poured into the mathematical container so we can have infinite interactions. Thus, book, which used to be merely published in 1 to 300 continuous pages, don't exist anymore, and there are numeral capacities (that are the capacities for changes).
He posed the decentralization as the second capability and said: Circulation is meaningless for the books published in the virtual world therefore there is no accessibility limitation for the virtual world publication.
With respect to the third capability of the virtual world publication, the scholar of virtual space field stipulated: being interactive, is the third capability; text turns to a living creature in the virtual world and answers thousands of questions. Virtual memory is also the fourth advantage of virtual world publication which is always dependent on the virtual time logic and is an ever-living creature.
Ameli reiterated: Islamic world has its own specific kind of orientation. The services to be offered by the Muslims to the world should be the source of removing the hypocrisy, because Islam is the school of obviating the hypocrisy
